Specialties
My area of focus is two to three bedroom apartments and townhouses in historic brownstone Brooklyn, especially those surrounding Prospect Park. I handle sales in these areas ranging from $200,000 to $2 million. I have expertise in Park Slope, Prospect Heights, and Prospect Lefferts Gardens and am familiar with many other great Brooklyn neighborhoods.
I enjoy helping parents find homes that fit their needs for space, location, amenities, and style. The bulk of my sales have been two to three bedroom apartments and townhouses -- offering space for a growing family.
Having bought and completely renovated a four-story historic house two years ago, I am always excited when someone is looking to sell or buy a townhouse. I love the architecture of Brooklyn's townhouses and all of the details that go into making it a home. I have knowledge of construction and renovation from my own personal experience and from my extensive design background. This enables me to assist people through the process from seeing potential in their space, to finding reputable contractors and understanding costs, to advising on what kind of upgrades will present the largest challenges.
I have experience selling developers' new condos in challenging markets, so I understand how to price and stage units to make the best impression possible. On the flip side, I also have completed many new condo deals for my buyers. I understand buyers’ concerns and the details that go into making a purchase in a new construction building. I can walk them through each step in the process, including inspecting the building to ensure it is solidly built, advising on what to look out for in an offering plan, recommending lawyers that have experience with sales in these types of buildings, understanding potential delays, and highlighting special closing costs that often go along with a new construction purchase. This ensures that there are no unexpected surprises in the end.

Agent's personal statement
I have a personal enthusiasm for the neighborhoods of Brooklyn. Originally from Cambridge, Massachusetts, I came to Brooklyn ten years ago and have since bought and renovated two Park Slope apartments and a four-story house in Lefferts Manor. Having bought and sold properties of my own, I understand the importance of making the process as smooth and enjoyable as possible. I truly enjoy helping people through what can seem like a stressful process.
After graduating from Brown University, I worked for many years as a Creative Director for a major book publisher. This experience enables me to bring a unique perspective to the buyers and sellers with whom I work. I understand visual space, have an eye for aesthetics, and can help buyers visualize the many options available within a property. My marketing experience also gives me the background to help sellers prepare their property for the best impact possible. Most importantly, my husband and I often work as a team. One of us is always available and our complementary personalities help us work easily with many situations and all types of people. We have calm personalities, are organized and detail-oriented, energetic, and extremely devoted to projects we take on.
We place a great amount of importance on loyalty and trust in all of our dealings with others. Because of this, we form long-lasting, trusting relationships -- a quality that is so important when you are buying or selling your home and your investment.

Alyssa Morris
"Alyssa works very hard for her clients and is particularly good at following-up on issues and opportunities. As a buyer's agent, she does not put undue pressure on her clients and is very patient.
