Working with Charles has been a delight. One thing that I’ve noticed from dealing with a number of real estate agents in the city is that to be good, an agent has to play the role of psycho-therapist for his client. He must understand the things that you’re not even sure you know that you want, and he needs to get you to articulate those things. I find that Charles has that skill, and I find that rare. Out of all the agents I’ve worked with in the city, Charles the most knowledgeable, and not just in one or two ways. He just seems to know virtually every building in the city, and he has a very wide and thorough knowledge of the industry, including how to work with co-op Boards, which is extremely important if you’re interested in buying a co-op. To me, Charles’s encyclopedic knowledge is invaluable. I would unconditionally recommend Charles to my friends and family.

I would absolutely recommend Charles to a friend or family member. Working with him to find a home was a wonderful experience, and he really helped me solve the dilemma I was in. Before I started working with Charles, I didn't think I could afford to live in Manhattan anymore. I was newly single, and I was in a bit of a panic about having a fun social life. I was willing to spend a bit more if I found somewhere that was perfect for me to live, but Manhattan apartments seemed totally out of my range. In one of our earliest meetings, Charles took a monstrous list of over 3,000 available properties and narrowed it down to less than 100 that would be suitable for me--all within a couple of minutes. Every one of those apartments was in a fun, workable neighborhood, and they were all within the range of what I was planning to spend. Charles had a very clear and immediate idea of what location and type of property would work best for me and what would make me happy, and his intuitions were absolutely on the mark. Charles did an amazing job of keeping me calm and focused. Because I was facing the prospect of being an owner for the first time, I had a lot of concerns. He had a very soothing quality, and he made sure that my worries were discussed and that I made a sound financial, as well as living, decision.

Charles helped my children buy and sell an apartment. My children sought to try and buy an apt on their own but had a difficult time finding a good agent. We knew Charles, so we approached him with what our children were looking for and asked if he could help. Charles said that he could. Given what my children were looking for, Charles immediately had a particular apartment in mind. We saw the apartment and acually purchased it within four days. Charles' knowledge of the inventory in the city, as well as his personal relationships with other agents in the city, is fantastic.
