I am the youngest person to have the distinction of being a Vice President/Director at Brown Harris Stevens.

Coming into the real estate field directly out of college, I have spent my entire professional career at Brown Harris Stevens, being mentored by the finest and most established brokers in Manhattan. Working my way up starting as an Assistant, then Sales Associate, to Associate broker and now as a Vice President/Director, I have taken the time to carefully build my experience, integrating the knowledge and skills from this elite brokerage community, and thoughtfully selecting those which apply to my own unique practice.

I specialize in townhouse, small building and apartment sales, and have set several price records in multiple neighborhoods during my six year tenure. Most recently, I closed a multi-million dollar exclusive listing at the Time Warner Center for over $5300/foot. I also set an Upper West Side mid-block townhouse price record. The home in the West 80's, sold for nearly 20% over its substantial asking price. I have set a price record for the highest block sale price for a Harlem townhouse on 143rd Street, and a Village apartment at 50 East 8th Street.

Buyers appreciate my value-added approach to the property search, and utilize my comprehensive knowledge of zoning regulations, landmark policy, serious vs. minor violations, landlord/tenant laws, estate matters, and renovation/layout choices, to inform their decision. I am an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York.

I am a graduate of Carleton College in Minnesota, where I studied Behavioral Neuroscience with a specialization in sleep and dreaming. I am an avid sailor, basketball and hockey player. I also enjoy climbing mountains around the world.

David is an excellent broker. The two main things that make David stand out are his professionalism and the fact that he is a nice person to work with. Those were the two most important things for us and also, most impressive. In terms of the process, David identified our needs and was very thorough in his research. He understood what we were looking for and what was available on the market that matched our needs. He worked extremely hard to show us everything available and to talk to all the potential sellers on the market and sellers about to be on the market. In addition to that, he is very polite and is very nice to deal with. Buying a house is a very intense process. To have a broker who is not only professional, but also a good human being, makes the process much more comfortable. That is not the case with many other brokers that we've worked with. Not only would I recommend David, but I would go out of my way to recommend him.

I thought David was excellent. He was motivated and extremely knowledgeable about the Manhattan townhouse market. To his credit, he was very low-key and professional. There was no pressure working with David. In contrast to most people's unpleasant experiences in the real estate market, I found David to be extremely professional and pleasant to work with. I am happy to recommend David and have already done so.

David is a great listener. He was able to figure out what kind of people we were, and that enabled David to understand exactly what it was that we were looking for. David didn't waste any of our time taking us to buildings that were not going to be a possible fit. I remember the day that David called me and told me, 'I found the place that you're going to buy.' He was right. Besides being a good listener, David made us feel very comfortable and we really trusted him. He never tried a hard sell with us. David also knows the market extremely well and he has kept us informed as to what is going on in our neighborhood. If we were selling our building, we would use David as our broker. Working with David, you know that you're getting the best value for your dollar. We have total confidence in him and we would recommend him without any hesitation.

David is very professional and extremely knowledgeable about Manhattan townhouses. We did quite a bit of research on our own, but he added some important insights. He was a fantastic resource. David always gave us fair information -- we never felt like he would only tell us what he wanted us to know or what we wanted to hear. David provided us with the information that allowed us to make the best decision possible. He helped us create a 'pros' and 'cons' list that made our decisions easier. David never pressured us about our decision because he wanted us to make the right choice for us. We've worked with many real estate agents who have pressured us and I never felt that with David. David is unique in another important sense -- he really tries to build a relationship with the client. He's not there to make a buck. From now on, if anyone who I know is looking to buy or sell a townhouse, I have no doubt that David is the person I would recommend. There is not even one bit of doubt because David is professional, he knows the product and because he is really there to help you find the best home for you.

David is phenomenal. The best thing about David is that he is incredibly personable, but he also has a great business sense as well. That is backed up with a classical, liberal arts education. I find David to be incredibly smart and well-versed in many subjects -- not just real estate. Shopping for an apartment in New York City can be overwhelming, so the amount of research that David did for me to narrow down my search was extremely helpful. He took me to see nine apartments in one day and the last one I fell in love with and bought. I absolutely would recommend David, and I already have.

David a very good listener. He really lets you speak up and voice your opinion which helps you think through your decision. He asked smart questions that helped me actually figure out what I was looking for, which was particularly helpful given that I was unsure about what I wanted. In a way, he almost served as a psychiatrist -- someone who would listen to me and help guide me in the right direction. David was very active in finding the right types of apartments and knew what would work and what wouldn't. With David's help, I was able to pinpoint the apartment that was right for me. When it came down to price and negotiations, David was very up front and gave ideas for what our strategy should be. Bottom line is that David is a good broker who knows the market and is a great listener.

My experience working with David was wonderful. Not only does he have an excellent knowledge of the city, but he is smart, fun and is a pleasure to work with. The relationship I had working with David was easy, collaborative and productive. I was looking to relocate from downtown to uptown. I found some places and he found some places. David is a pleasure to work with. If you are looking to buy, he knows exactly what to show you, especially the more specific you are. He takes his time to investigate different apartments so that he only shows you ones that you will be interested in. In terms of seeing different apartments, he is a pleasure to be around. I have already recommended David multiple times to friends of mine. If you're really serious about buying, he'll find what you need and at the price that you want to pay. David is off-the-charts, he's great.

I was a first-time buyer, so I needed some hand-holding. David was very forthcoming and clear about the process - he laid out exactly how the buying procedure would work and the things that I had to do. He was patient and clear when explaining the different aspects of the transaction. David was as forthcoming as I could ask a broker to be. David is also very culturally aware. Coming from a Chinese background, there were certain cultural aspects of purchasing a home that were important to me. For example, in Chinese culture, four is an unlucky number. David was really sensitive to that and avoided showing me homes with the number four in the address or the apartment number. His attention to these details truly resonated with me. I would definitely recommend David.
