After over two decades of successfully honing my skills by selling over 2,000 properties, I consistently receive awards for selling the most properties and exclusives for Brown Harris Stevens. I also receive numerous awards for Relocation and Referral Sales.

 

I have a unique team with a special model. The Elaine Clayman Group works as a team of “Functional Specialists.” What does this mean? Each licensed staff member focuses on different aspects of the process. We have three specialists: Client Relations, Marketing and Transaction Management.

 

Our Sales Associates are dedicated to selling the properties as well as monitoring every single property on the market and bringing their knowledge to our buyers and sellers. When I was thinking about selling my apartment four years ago, I called Elaine to come see my apartment. She made a wonderful and impressive presentation and she introduced me to her entire team, The Elaine Clayman Group. Everyone who works with her is tops at what they do. In the presentation, we discussed how to photograph the apartment and where to price my apartment. My apartment sold very swiftly, but not so swiftly that I was worried that we priced it too low. Rather, Elaine and her team priced my apartment perfectly. Elaine advised me to reject the first offer i received because it was too low. The next offer came in within dollars of where she priced the apartment. It was magical. I had such trust in Elaine, that I took a trip to Russia while my home was on the market. Even though I was abroad, Elaine kept in touch with me and was extremely responsive. Elaine and her team are extremely professional. In the summer of 2008, after having rented for a few years, I decided that I was ready to look to buy an apartment. Of course, I called Elaine. Elaine and her team helped me find a treasure of an apartment and I couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend Elaine to anyone who is interested in buying or selling Manhattan real estate. We worked with Elaine on our purchase of a condo on the Upper East Side. Elaine is excellent. I actually met Elaine because she was the seller's agent for the apartment that we were buying. After the transaction, Elaine approached us and asked if she could make a presentation regarding the sale of our apartment. Until that point, my husband and I had not even considered using an agent -- we were going to sell the apartment on our own. Elaine's presentation was very professional and thorough. Surprisingly, Elaine thought that the selling price should be higher than we were planning on asking for. She said that we were off target -- and she got what she said she was going to get us! We would have happily sold our apartment for considerably less if not for Elaine. Having worked on both sides of the transaction with Elaine (as our agent and as the seller's agent), we know that Elaine's negotiating skills are top-notch. My wife and I actually did not proactively look to sell our apartment. We received a letter from Elaine stating that she had a client who was interested in purchasing our apartment or our line of apartments within our building. We met with Elaine and she was terrific. We agreed that if Elaine could sell our apartment for the price that she thought she could, we would be on board. True to her word, she did that, so we sold our place. Within two months, Elaine found us an amazing apartment two blocks away from our old apartment. We absolutely, 100% and without qualification would recommend Elaine. When my husband and I decided to start looking to buy an apartment in Manhattan we chose to work with The Elaine Clayman Group at Brown Harris Stevens. Elaine Clayman had developed a "team" concept in which she has experts handle various aspects of the process so that, unlike most brokers, no one is expected to cover every aspect of the complicated procedure. While Elaine oversees all her team members, she reserves her time to focus on the negotiation and board package aspects of the purchase. We could not have been happier with this system because we received high quality personal attention at every step in the process. We never had to worry about Elaine not being available to negotiate because she had to go to a showing or an open house. Since she assigned one of her helpful sales associates to show us the various apartments available, that freed Elaine to lead the team and be available for consultations. Elaine recommended a preliminary review of our finances by another expert member of her team trained to deal with that aspect. Thanks to his review, we were assured of the range of prices at which we were qualified to buy. Within minutes of our choosing a favorite place, Elaine went into over-drive to facilitate the deal.
