Specialties
The Williamson Group specializes in Brownstone Brooklyn. Specifically, these neighborhoods include Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO, Park Slope, Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens. Having lived in the area for 40 years, I know the area better than anyone. Although no deal is too big or too small, we tend to work with buyers and sellers in $500k to $2 million range. Whether you are a first time buyer, longtime investor or someone simply looking for a Pied-a-terre, The Williamson Group knows the market and can help you to find your ideal home or sell your property for top dollar.
The Williamson Group continues to sell beautiful townhouses in Brooklyn Heights and beyond. Whether you are looking for a property to fully renovate or a beautiful and classically appointed home that is ready to be lived in right away, we know the inventory and we know the best locations so that you have the complete and ultimate experience of residing in historic Brownstone Brooklyn.
Approximately 80% of our business is people moving from Manhattan to Brooklyn. Either they are looking for more space, a different vibe or more of a community environment than what they are getting in Manhattan. Whatever your needs are, we know the most desirable properties and locations so that your transition from Manhattan to Brooklyn is one of ease and convenience. And, nearly all of our customers wind up singing Brooklyn's praises and saying they strongly prefer it to their previous location!
Because a good deal of our business is in the $500k range, we often work with people who are purchasing their first apartment. We understand that making this type of investment is one that is not taken lightly and people need to feel that they are in experienced hands. Our team provides sound advice in all areas of real estate. We not only know the market well and can advise people on pricing and making the opening offer, but we also have a mortgage expert who works with us full time and can walk a new buyer through that process, too. Most importantly, we are patient and excellent listeners who will do our best to get you the nicest apartment your money can buy.

Agent's personal statement
As a Senior Vice President at Prudential Douglas Elliman, I am a top Brooklyn broker, a 40+ year resident of Brooklyn Heights, and the founder of The Williamson Group. If you’re selling or buying a home in Brooklyn’s dynamic and ever-changing real estate market, you need a highly skilled broker with a stellar reputation for integrity, expertise and reliability. In short, you need Madeline & Greg Williamson of The Williamson Group.
As one Brooklyn’s most prolific brokers, my group and I have successfully closed nearly 150 deals since the turn of the millennium. In 2003, I ranked 4th for volume of deals closed for the entire Prudential Douglas Elliman NYC sales force – out of 1000 agents. Since then, I have earned top accolades every year, placing me in the top 5% of agents nationwide for 2003 – 2005 and the top 2% of agents nationwide for 2006 and 2007.
My business continues to increase with the help of my son and partner, Greg Williamson. Having grown up in Brooklyn and having attended Dwight School High School, Greg truly understands New York and has his ear to the pulse of nearly every neighborhood in the City. Across Brooklyn, Greg has the latest information on pricing and trends, and can talk endlessly about the character and tone differences between neighborhoods – from the best restaurants, markets, and nightlife to zoning issues, transportation convenience, and school considerations. In the biggest, busiest, most complex city, Greg’s background, skills and knowledge are an indispensable asset to any seller or buyer wading into New York’s real estate market. Presently, Greg is the head agent at 166 Montague Street, a high end development in Brooklyn Heights.
In addition to my professional expertise in Brooklyn real estate, I am a longtime local resident, homeowner, and mother. My husband and I moved to the Heights in 1968, settled on Henry Street, and soon began raising a family. Over the past 40 years, I have witnessed the tremendous changes that transformed Brooklyn. Today, my assessments of present and future value are informed by four decades of local hindsight.
With our collective experience living, working, raising a family, and growing up in brownstone Brooklyn, no group of realtors has deeper local roots than us. Whether it’s pricing, long-term value, local issues, market trends or troubleshooting, Greg and I are the team to choose.

Our summary of
Madeline Williamson
"Madeline is a Brooklyn expert, partly because she has lived there for over 40 years. The small-town feel of neighborhoods in Brooklyn make it important for a broker to know every square inch. Madeline teams with her son, Greg, and together, they know Brooklyn cold--the are like walking encyclopedias. They perform equally well for both sellers and buyers."
